Bus Timetable Display
I moved to Germany for work where I take the bus everyday. I was tired of missing early buses and waiting on late ones, so I called the public transit API on a Raspberry Pi. While I was at it I put Spotify on there too.
So this isn't really a portfolio. It's just stuff.
Sometimes real engineering, and sometimes for fun.
But I did make it.

I had a few months left on my Adobe subscription, so I took a cute picture, extracted the lines in Illustrator, and found out the local library had a laser cutter. Made my own engraved picture display.
In college I fogged out our entire apartment as a prank. My roommates hated it β and it took hours. So naturally, if the opportunity ever arises again, I need to be able to do it like a professional.
We needed peeler table functions with no room for a peeler table, so I came up with my own solution (and name π). Then I designed, welded, plumbed, and wired it.
A fully automatic air knife system, designed and fabricated by myself.

A huge project to get an assembly line running from nothing β including tying three separate PLCs together so they could actually talk to each other, and all of that wiring. Thatβs me with one of the maintenance guys, rigging the line up.
I was the suspension lead for my club β I designed and fabricated the first working suspension in 3 years with a team of 15 students.
I built this for my fraternity β Triangle, an engineering frat. So naturally I wanted a beautiful, techy table. Spent a semester CNCing wood, laser cutting acrylic, and a lot of trial and error on what looked good. For me, this was an art project.
Watch the full videoSenior design project. Got to make a sick boat β 20,000 RPM on 12S LiPo batteries.
The last class for my electrical minor. Hard work, but really fun.
A month left in junior year and things were getting boring. My frat had random wheelchairs lying around, and hoverboards are fun. So I put them together.
Hobby Lobby sells really cheap helicopters.
I designed and prototyped an ergonomic door seal applicator for future Model Y assembly lines.
My very first internship! I learned a lot here, and my last project was to build a motorized sliding display for a mini expo, where I worked with the UI team.
